Hawai’i - The Big Island

Hapuna Beach State Park - Big Island, Hawai’i
Hapuna Beach State Park

Nicknamed "Big Island", Hawai’i is by far the largest in size but the youngest of all in the Hawaiian chain. Here, you can travel through all but four of the world’s different climate zones, ranging from tropical to tundra. From coast to coast, the Big Island is an adventurer’s mecca, and a haven for sports enthusiasts. It will leave you humbled and inspired.

The island of Hawai’i showcases the power of nature like no other. One of the top attractions of all the islands is the Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. Located 45 minutes south of Hilo, this park is home to one of the world’s most active volcanoes, Kilauea, which has been erupting since 1983. Marvel as blistering hot lava erupts, running down into the sea, creating new land. Hike along the park’s 150 miles of trails that wind through volcanic craters, scalded deserts and rainforests, stop at the walk-in lava tube, and visit the museum.

Be Sure To Visit

Considered the "Golf Capital of Hawai’i, the Big Island’s courses overwhelm golfers with lava-lined fairways, turquoise waters, stark white bunkers, and greens fringed with swaying palms. Top course designers Jack Nicklaus, Robert Trent Jones Sr., and Robert Trent Jones Jr. all have courses here. Head to the Kohala Coast to discover many of the island’s top-rated courses.
